Did you know? Tom Selleck has a new autobiography. It came out in May of this year and includes a page-and-a-half about Jack! Tom speaks most highly of Jack, saying,

What I saw was a gracious, respectful, and somewhat formal man who chose

to be there when he could have been on the beach at the Kahala condos.

Tom went on to talk about their walk over to the Diamond Head Studios (now, Hawaii Film Studio) and how Jack gave Tom his office there, passing the torch with style and grace. This happened several months after Hawaii Five-0 ended production in December 1979 and a few months before Magnum PI began production. Magnum PI first aired in December 1980.

Truly, both Tom Selleck and Jack Lord are gentlemen of the highest order.
