So, I’m watching old episodes of Bluebloods. In the one I watched during lunch, today, “Careful What You Wish For” (Season 10, Episode 11), Frank Reagan talks about one of the old practices the police used to gain information from their informants – passing them a $20 bill.
Can you name an episode in which the Five-0 detectives passed money to their informants (I can think of a few)? If so, list it in the comments section.
What an interesting discussion! By the way, I would like to recommend Paul Mankin, he is an experienced lawyer and professional, I have been working with him for several years now, and more than once he has solved my problems with maximum benefit to me. So please feel free to contact him if you need anything. Have a great day!
I just stumbled upon this one: "A Short Walk on the Long Shore" (Season 10). McGarrett is undercover as a longshoreman and asks Darlene (Kathy Paulo), a waitress at Doxie's Bar, where he can find Frankie DeMara (Sharon Farrell). Darlene doesn't want to talk. Even when McGarrett slips her a bill, she says only, "Wherever she is, it's where poppies grow." Frankie DeMara has a serious opium addiction.
Here's another one: In "A Gun for McGarrett" (Season 7), Detective Frank Kemana (Doug Mossman) meets an informant, Yosh (Jack Morris), at the zoo on two occasions. Each time, Yosh provides information for Kemana about a hitman named something-Singer, who is being brought in from the mainland. It is Bensinger (George Herman), and he is being brought in by the episode villain, Savage (Ivor Barry). Kemana gives Yosh money for the information, placing it within the brown paper bag from which Yosh is eating peanuts and feeding the animals.
There's another episode in the back of my mind, but I haven't pinpointed it, yet. Will keep working on it.
Dorothy, paying informants really did happen back in the day. It…
Hi ! I go by the game name of Dorothy Lord , I also by the informant name of Jaws . Remember the 1975 motion picture Jaws ? Okay I really don't think that Steve Mc Garrett and his detectives would stoop so low and pay the Informants . Not like Starsky and Hutch . Steve Mc Garrett would never have done that . The Hawaii Five 0 special task force were to smart for that.
That's a good one, H5O, and I remember that dialogue very well. "Crispies, LOL!" Like you, I've had a lot of trouble finding an episode in which money is exchanged for information. In my head, it seems to happen frequently, so I'm surprised I'm having so much trouble. I'm sure there are more instances. I'll keep thinking!
