Joe Moore, news anchor at KHON-TV, appeared in 11 episodes of Hawaii Five-0. In recent years, he and Pat Sajak, host of Wheel of Fortune, have appeared together in several productions to benefit the Hawaii Theatre. Now, they are coming together to perform in "The Sunshine Boys."
Joe posted the following on his Facebook page:
Hawaii Theatre announced tickets are now on sale for Neil Simon's classic comedy about showbiz and friendship, "The Sunshine Boys." It stars yours truly and Pat Sajak, in an 11-performance run from June 16 - June 26. Bryce Moore [Joe's son] co-stars as the talent agent who reunites vaudeville's top comedy team for a TV special, but there's one little problem...the kings of comedy haven't spoken to each other in years following an unpleasant break-up. Supporting cast includes Tracy Olival, Jeanne Wynn Herring, Andrew Baker, Bart DaSilva, Andrew Doan and Rob Duval, who also directs the production. Tickets on sale now at hawaiitheatre.com. It's a benefit for the Hawaii Theatre Center.
You may recall that Jack and Marie helped to fund restoration of the Hawaii Theatre in the 1990s.
